Fundraising

The most effective fundraising is simply finding a part-time job, but parents and participants are welcome to engage in fundraising initiatives to help pay for the optional travel experience.  

Parents have organized fundraising initiatives with Nut man, Applebee's, and 4 Seasons and have also worked Bingos, run a Japanese Film Festival, and helped out at a Japanese Matsuri Festival to raise funds for the program.  

Our board will help where possible, but these initiatives are generally spearheaded by the parents group.

FlipGive is a shop-and-raise website where we can earn cashback from online purchases with popular retailers. 

 A percentage of each sale is attributed to our program at no additional cost to you.  If you make online or click and collect grocery pick-ups, please consider shopping through FlipGive to help us earn funds for our program.

Drop & Go is a new service that is available at all SARCAN depots in Saskatchewan. Customers can skip the lineup by leaving their order at the depot and donating their refund to support our program though the virtual bottle drive.

1. Ensure all glass is in boxes and lids have been removed.

2. Visit your local SARCAN and look for Drop & Go

3. Follow instructions on the screen and type DJLCP when prompted to enter the group phrase.  (The phrase works anywhere across the province so please ask your friends and family to consider supporting us!)

4. The amount of your order will be processed and paid directly to our program.

Our tour partner, Explorica, is dedicated to creating inclusive opportunities for individuals to participate in.  To support this vision, students are eligible to receive financial assistance through their Financial Assistance Program.  

Candidates that are facing family financial hardships, identify as a member of an underrepresented group (Asian, Black/African, Indigenous, Hispanic/Latinx, LGBTQIA+), or have a disability.  

There is an application process that must be completed on behalf of the participant and scholarships are awarded in the order they are received.   We may apply for up to $2000 to support all the participants in our program - in order to maximize the assistance possible, financial assistance applications need to be completed by June 2025.   All information is kept confidential.
